A bike trailer is a great way to expand your bike’s capabilities: you can use it to take your kids on longer trips more safely and comfortably than in a child seat, or turn your bike into a practical way to transport groceries, items for your cottage, or gear for a trip.
We carry Bellelli trailers—including child trailers, cargo trailers, shopping trailers, and even a trailer for pets.
✔ BELLELLI B-TRAVEL – children's stroller, red – for 1–2 children, 5-point harnesses, parking brake, 20" wheels, child weight limit approx. 16 kg / height up to 110 cm, and certified to EN 15918.

1) Who or what will you be transporting?
Children vs. cargo vs. a pet—this will determine the type of stroller and the accessories you need (seat belts, ventilation, rain cover, cargo basket, etc.).
2) Weight capacity and limits (don’t buy something that’s “pushing the limit”)
For child trailers, look not only at the total load capacity but also at the recommendations per child and maximum height (for the Trailblazer and B-Travel, this is approximately 16 kg / up to 110 cm).
For cargo trailers, consider both weight and volume (e.g., Eco Trailer Mini/Maxi).
3) Attachment and compatibility with the bike
Different trailers attach in different ways—typically to the rear wheel axle (children’s/pet trailers) or to the seat tube (Eco Trailer), or to a rack or seat tube (B-Tourist). This will help you determine which option suits you best and is most practical when disconnecting the trailer.
4) Safety and visibility
Check the seat belts (ideally 5-point for children), the parking brake, reflective elements/flag, and the “safety lock” to prevent accidental detachment. The Trailblazer features the aforementioned reflectors, a flag, and a strap lock; the B-Travel, on the other hand, comes with 5-point harnesses and a parking brake.
5) Comfort in Use: Weather, Suspension, Handling
In rain and winter, you’ll appreciate the weather cover (mesh + PVC / waterproof cover); for longer trips, you’ll appreciate the suspension (the Trailblazer has adjustable suspension). And if you want a “2-in-1” model, consider how easily you can switch it to stroller or push-chair mode.
Is a child trailer or a bike seat better?
For longer rides, the trailer often wins out: the child sits more securely, is usually protected from wind and rain, and you have more space for your belongings.
At what age can a child ride in a trailer?
For the Trailblazer, the recommended age is approximately 9 months or when the child can sit up on their own.
Can the trailer also be used as a stroller?
Yes—the Trailblazer model is described as a 2-in-1 (trailer + sports stroller with a third swivel wheel).
How fast can you ride with the trailer?
The Trailblazer has a recommended maximum speed of 25 km/h.
What if I get wet?
For children’s and pet trailers, the solution is a combination of mesh and a cover (the pet trailer comes with a PVC rain cover).
✔ Before you set out with children or a load, take a short test drive with the cart empty.
Test starting, braking, and sharp turns—you’ll immediately see how the stroller handles and whether everything is properly secured.
✔ For children’s strollers, take care to adjust the straps and backrests properly.
When a child is sitting securely and comfortably, they feel safer, and the ride is more relaxing for both of you.
✔ Check the tire pressure (for inflatable tires).
Proper pressure means a smoother ride, better handling, and less effort when starting out.
✔ Always balance the load: place heavier items as low and as close to the center as possible.
The trailer will be more stable when turning and braking and won’t tend to “pull” to the side.
✔ Keep the width and turning radius in mind.
The stroller is wider than a bike—take it easy for the first few kilometers (on a bike path or in a parking lot) before heading out into traffic.
✔ In rain and wind, make full use of the stroller’s cover.
The mesh and cover will protect against splashing water and drafts, keeping both your child and their belongings comfortable.
