The compass has a hinged cover with a mirror on the underside of the cover. The cover protects the compass from damage, and the mirror allows for more accurate azimuth measurements. The base plate, which features a direction indicator for determining the angle of the route, is equipped with scales for measuring distances on a map; the cover also includes a mirror, and a magnifying glass allows you to read small text on the map. The compass is designed for orienteering or hiking and for navigation on maps and in the field. The set also includes a lanyard for hanging the compass around your neck.
