The 5 cm x 5 m kinesiology tape is a specially designed elastic tape made from a blend of 85% special cotton and 15% Spandex for use in kinesiology taping. Tape color: yellow. The tape is water-resistant—allowing for full use even when in contact with water—making it suitable for outdoor and water sports. At the same time, it is breathable to prevent excessive sweating of the skin underneath after application. The adhesive is made of NON-ALLERGENIC polyurethane, which contains no latex or other chemical additives. Once applied, the tape ensures a full range of motion without restricting it in any way. The tape has 170% elasticity, ensuring flexibility while maintaining constant tension on the body. The tape’s elasticity matches that of the skin. The tape’s function is based on the principle of stimulating and activating the nervous and circulatory systems, which positively affects the musculoskeletal and lymphatic systems. Once applied, the tape increases lymphatic and blood circulation, reduces pressure on blood vessels, and stimulates skin receptors. All these factors positively influence and accelerate the healing process. An indisputable advantage of kinesiology tape is that it is gentle on the skin and can be comfortably applied without restriction, even for the entire day. The recommended application period is 4–5 days per taping session. Kinesio tape is used not only by athletes but also by physical therapists, chiropractors, and doctors in many fields.
