Pitjau is perfect for anyone looking for
an active and fun
indoor activity. The ball is so
light that you don’t have to worry about breaking anything while playing. The ball isn’t perforated, but it’s designed to be very soft so it can float slowly through the air. The game requires
only a small space (approximately 5–8 m²), making it ideal for playing with friends in the living room, with family in the garden shed, or with coworkers during office breaks.
It’s easy to get started with Pitjau. The game is played using a ring the size of a small hula hoop, mounted vertically on an adjustable stand. Before passing the ball through the ring with a flat hand, inflate it slightly. Your opponent has
three hits or touches to return the ball through the ring. You can play one-on-one, in a group around the ring, or in pairs in a two-on-two match.
Pitjau challenges players to
use both technique and power. You can hit the ball with the same force as in tennis or volleyball, but the ball’s flight will stop after 2–4 meters and gently drop to the ground. With a little practice, you can spin the ball in the air, forcing your opponent to make difficult saves. Unlike other ball games, this
adds a new dimension and dynamic to the game.
